TIMBo Group for Women, EMDR or Psychotherapy

with Psychotherapist Alex Murray-Golay

TIMBo (Trauma-informed mind and body) combines movement, breath, guided meditation, and a workbook-based approach to explore and better understand emotions such as fear, shame, and grief. EMDR allows the right and left brain to become “unstuck” and to fully process traumatic events. Psychotherapy allows you to talk throw it all with a licensed professional. Learn more about Alex, including how to contact her, below.

Alex Murray-Golay is a licensed clinical mental health practitioner who believes in the power of the mind-body connection and the capacity to recover and heal.

Alex started working in the field of psychology and mental health in college, and has continued her practice over the past 20 years. Through this journey, Alex recognized that trauma is at the heart of all symptoms, and that people can recover when they connect to their bodies and create new responses. Through her specialty in trauma, Alex has worked with severe and persistent mental illness, in crisis centers, residential treatment and emergency rooms, and is currently in private practice. She specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TIMBo (Trauma Informed Mind and Body).

Alex became certified in EMDR in 2013 and uses it daily in sessions with patients. This allows the right and left brain to become “unstuck” and to fully process traumatic events. She is currently finishing the 100-hour training in TIMBo, which combines movement, breath, guided meditation, and a workbook-based approach to explore and better understand emotions such as fear, shame, and grief. Alex launched New Hampshire’s first TIMBo group in Peterborough in September.
